Whether staged indoors or out, these tend to engender their own unique points of vulnerability, and therefore demand special event security services.
In addition to the need to ensure the safety and event security of the exhibits and participants, at such events the general public may be present in large numbers, which in turn creates a number of potential difficulties:
- Vehicles have to be parked.
- Money has to be collected.
- Unwanted visitors must be intercepted.
- Undesirable elements, from pickpockets to those under the influence of alcohol, must be identified and quietly apprehended.
- At night or during closure, the entire facility must be guarded against illegal entry.
